We were talking about making sure that files that you have deleted are actually securely deleted. While completely reformatting your hard drive and doing a thorough secure erase of your entire hard drive is the best thing to do, it&#039;s way beyond what most people are going to be willing and able to do.]]></description>

The programs you recommended only overwrite areas that are already empty but not the complete HD. He gave me a much more complex 5-step procedure that involves burning a boot-up disk to re-format the HD.]]></description>
