Last week, there were two major tech news events that may just end up changing the world. The first event was on Wednesday, January 18th, when Google, Wikipedia, and countless other major websites had intentional “blackouts”, or at least partial blackouts, in protest against two piece of legislation that were before the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA), respectively.
